I’ve been meaning to post this for about a month now but have just recently found the time to pick-up the blog(s) again.
Apparently Kataklysm have a new album on the way, adding to their already huge discography. Frontman, Maurizio Iacono, had stated that his side project, Ex Deo, was just that and wouldn’t be touring extensively or anything near what Kataklysm does; he wasn’t lying. Damn, this man must be busy. Kataklysm have been releasing an album every year or every two years consistently since 1992 including Prevail which was released in 2008. Keep in mind the band tours the world extensively to support each release, and the fact that Ex Deo’s Romulus just came out last year. In my mind, it’s pretty impressive that they’ve spent the last two years working on this latest album, tentatively slated for a fall 2010 release
The original, brief article linked above is over at Noisecreep.
If you’re familiar with Kataklysm, but haven’t heard Ex Deo yet check out a track I posted from their debut last year here. The album features guest appearances by Nergal of Behemoth, Karl Sanders of Nile, and Obsidian C. of Keep of Kalessin.
